Why did we sell everything and opt for a second-hand caravan?

The decision to sell our house and belongings was driven by a desire for change, adventure, and the freedom to explore. We wanted to break away from the ordinary and embrace a more nomadic lifestyle. Opting for a second-hand caravan allowed us to stay within our budget while still providing a cozy and comfortable space for our family.

When is enough… enough? We are on a mission to find out! As family of six, we’ve made a daring choice to sell our house and let go of all our possessions, embarking on an exciting adventure across Australia. Our decision stems from a deep desire to embrace minimalism and prioritise experiences over material possessions. By freeing ourselves from excess, we’re creating space for unforgettable family moments amidst the breathtaking beauty of Australia’s landscape. Moving into a caravan symbolizes our commitment to simplicity, mobility, and the pursuit of a meaningful journey together. With each mile we travel, we’ll discover the true essence of ourselves and the joy that comes from valuing ‘enough.’ This intentional leap into the unknown is an opportunity for our family to forge lasting memories and strengthen our bond as we embark on this extraordinary expedition. #caravanningaustralia #minimalliving #caravanaustraliawithkids #caravanningaustraliawithkids #caravanqueensland #caravannsw #caravanwa #caravannt #caravanvic #caravanact #caravantasmania ♬ Golden Hour: Piano Version – Andy Morris

Planning an overseas trip while preparing for a caravan adventure with four kids required careful organisation and meticulous planning. We focused on budgeting, researching family-friendly destinations, and ensuring all necessary travel documents were in order. It was an exciting experience, mapping out our route, and imagining the sights and experiences that awaited us in foreign lands.

We will follow our instincts, seek recommendations from fellow travellers, and embrace the freedom to change course whenever a new opportunity arises.
